How about if it was worded 'only 1 in 5 Britons suitably qualified for new jobs'?
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014

        junk statistics

The highest churn jobs are also the crappest... cleaning, hospitality (catering, bar jobs, waiting etc...), farm labourers. Given than these jobs appeal more to immigrants, most of whom receive no benefits and who need to work rather then sit on their arses all day watching trisha its no suprise that most new vacancies are taken by foreigners.

well that would be lying and even if it were true the government should be forcing the companies to take on and train local staff.

how are the so called qualifications of foreigners being verified?
how are they being vetted for security clearance?
how are they being vetted for jobs which require background checks/criminal record checks?

you are witnessing the destruction of the social fabric of this country

...or "Not enough Britons available to do new jobs as they are mostly already employed, or they simply can't be bothered, so foreign workers have to be brought in to fill the huge gap as Britain's solid economy continues to grow, despite what we keep reporting that self-proclaimed 'experts' are saying, because good news doesn't sell much".

            Too wordy?

All three of my sisters kids are unemployed. All three have kids. All three live in a holiday town full of holiday jobs.

My sister a southerner grafts two jobs, but her husband was a workshy Northern layabout. As most unemployed & workshy layabouts are North of Watford this is basically a working class ilk who just don't want to work.

Scrap benefits and bring back work houses.

You know what they say about assumptions!

All the qualifications in the world are almost irrelevant if Polish Pavel turns up to interview and Kev the Chav would rather sit on his arse watching daytime TV and living off the dole.

What if a british IT developer goes for an interview and asks the going rate of 50K salary but a non EU HSMP developer interviews for the same job and has equal experience but asks for 25K salary, because he needs to survive in this country somehow ? Would you as an employer hire the former or latter ?

If there are people who´ll do the job for 25K, how can the ´going rate´ be 50K?
