    Bruges beer tour

I'm planning a trip with a few mates to celebrate our joint 40th birthdays and one of the suggestions near the top of the list is a beer tasting weekend in Bruges.

Is this the best Belgium city for a weekend in February? Any other suggestions? We've done Munich, Berlin, Amsterdam and Prague.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

Me too, we're hoping to catch some midget filming too.

'In Bruges' is one of those rare gems that exceeded my expectations by some way, excellent film.

        I'll be drinking 'gay beers'.

It will be cold as said above. But I've been there at Christmas twice, and been in the Spring and loved it in winter.

It's a beautiful place, bars are great, can eat loads of mussels and frites. If you book a hotel maybe try and avoid one near the bell tower or you'll get woken up at 6am.

And as long as you don't want something raucous I'd go, as it's quite a romantic place. I've been and done sedate boat trips but may not be what you're after... I can manage 2 nights there at a time then I start to get bored... if a weekend tho should be fine.

I'm going back again this year hopefully.

Aye. I went there briefly many years ago and I've always wanted to go back and spend some more time looking around.

Me and a mate were crossing the square looking for a place to eat and drink and just as we appoached one place the guy outside goes "Hello lads, looking for a beer or something to eat too." He had clocked that we were English a mile away. His place was very good, but I am not sure I could pin it down now.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

Engerland t-shirts and a can of special brew each is a clue that's hard to miss

                    OK, I'm game.

                    uTorrent is doing it's do.

This is going to be another one of those "take a week to download and never get around to watching" things isn't it.
