    Show recommendations?

Right, I urgently need to treat my wife to a decent day out somewhere, so I was thinking of a show up in London and a meal out.

Any recommendations of a current show? The last ones we've seen over recent years (which I had no input into booking) were:

    Breakfast at Tiffany's
    Acorn antiques

This time however, I need to do the booking! Any critics in the house?!

    Yep, your post stinks.

On a serious note. Why not choose something a little less "highbrow"? "Priscilla Queeen of the Desert" perhaps?

How about a bit of Hollywodd at the theatre - The Prisoner of Second Avenue by playwright Neil Simon starring Jeff Goldblum & Kevin Spacey.

          This forum is slipping

this thread was created yesterday evening with a poster asking for recommendations for a london night out and no one, not one of you have suggested that he take her up the OXO tower

it comes highly recommended as one reviewer comments

When my boyfriend told me he wanted to take me up the Oxo Tower for my birthday, I was a bit hesitant at first because I didn't really think it was my scene. How wrong I was! I mean, yeah, so it's a bit of a strain on the old back pocket, and I admit I did feel a bit uncomfortable initially. But a couple of cocktails helped me relax and soon I was really getting into it - we carried on well into the night. It was a great experience and I really loved it - so much so that I won't let my boyfriend take me anywhere else now! So if anyone ever wants to take you up the Oxo Tower, just throw caution to the wind and go for it!

As I stated, the shows I have been to were not chosen by me, I just turned up. I wouldn't call 'Acorn Antiques' highbrow!

Ahh, I did forget to put in my original post, when in New York last year, we did go and see Avenue Q and Fuerzabruta - both of which I had some input into choosing.

I wouldn't know. I was merely offering an alternative to the "usual".

Send her to London on her own and hire a male escort for her. That way she'll probably have more excitement.

I really enjoyed one flew over the cuckoo's nest with Christian Slater but it only had a short run.

What about the Monty Python Spamalot show?
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'
