What base salary should I ask for if currently on £900/day

    Hi,

I’ve been contracting for donkeys of years. Can’t even remember last time I was in a permie role. I'm beginning to think of going permie now. Alot of clients and agencies been asking me what base salary I'd require?
Just throwing it out there what base salary would suit if you've been on £900/day

    regards

Welcome to the forum. I would however expect anyone who had been on £900 per day to be intelligent enough to work it out for themselves. You question seems to be from a £90 per day contractor.

Why would you want to go permie if you can get 900 quid a day? I reckon you'd be looking at £200k though.

          I wouldn't consider permie if I was £900 a day

If I had been earning £900 a day for donkeys years I'd retire.

How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

And what if you worked only one day a month on that rate?

I converted from £1200 a day a few years back. I managed 250k a year. I also negotiated a White suit, private island and midget who used to shout 'Boss! Boss! The plane! The plane!'
