Working on a mind numbing data mapping exercise - source to target. God it's boring. I'm doing anything but concentrating on the job in hand.

How do others stay motivated enough to be able to concentrate on these mind numbing tactical tasks?

In that type of situation I do bursts of work for twenty minutes at a time and then do a few posts.

Currently writing UAT test plans for minor changes. Not my job but they layed off so many people I inherit all the mind numbing stuff on top of the regular day job.

I try and ensure that I have sufficient resources to be able to delegate the crap jobs to.
