    Thoughts on the Pope's visit

Just one thought in fact, as Paul Simon almost said

No I would not be a false Pope
On this strange and mournful day....

It has been a very strange experience for me.

I have never before been in a situation where the main topic of news that is getting blanket coverage on all media has no relevance or interest for me whatsoever. It is worse than X factor, Eastenders and the World Cup all rolled together.

How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

Well, traffic in Birmingham today was unusually bad (for Sundays) and I did not like it one bit

I see Das Pope took a trip down the Hagley Road today. There's a nest of fornicators, boozers and heretics if ever there was one.

Even the legions of the Catholic church couldn't convert that lot!

I haven't been following it. Seems like a lot of fuss about an old bloke dressed in white. I did hear that the Pope mobile is cable of doing 160 mph though, which was vaguely amusing.

Well, that explains closed road through Hagley Road direct to SKA Inc office, had to take Five Ways route - endless queue, on its own it's enough to become atheist

Is that in case he wants to do a Di?

Pretty much ignored it. Caught a bit of one of the masses - choir was good!

I went to a Catholic Christening yesterday and the bastard didn't turn up.

De lawd tried to get me again while I was in church but I escaped just in time. Discovered I had forgotten all of my stations of the cross apart from "Jesus falls the first time"
