What are the best places to eat in Manchester. I want a really good steak
Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

    I preferred version 1!

I would recommend Alberts Shed not far off from the Hilton tower. Nice but not pretentious, right next to Dukes for a drink after and in lovely location next to canal with plenty of parking. Always been a winner for me...

I've never been to manchetsr but one of my chums raves about a place called "Basta Pasta" in the town centre somewhere.

From what I can see the last Basta Pasta shut down in Manchester in 1994 and as good as the place was I don't think it would fit the OP's 'really good steak ' requirement..

Many thanks for your input however, it is much appreciated

Someone here recommended Gaucho's for Argentinian steaks but can't say how good it was. Looks flash so might earn you some brownie points with the missus.
