Public shoe shine stations - do you?

Would you sit and get your shoes shined at one of those stations while the general public walk past and gawp at how affluent you are?

    Has anyone?

One near me in the City is £3.

Never used it for fear of looking like a right plonker.

I would be fully prepared to use one if I was
            (a) feeling flush
            (b) killing time (e.g. at an airport)
            (c) wearing shineable but unshiny shoes.

Those three things have never happened to me at the same time.

It's a bit like having one of those massages in your suit at an airport or having your eyebrows threaded at Selfridges - a complete no-no.

Saw one in Canary Wharf the other week in the shopping mall. Presumably you would have to pay a banker's bonus.
