    Possible boom

Just been told I'm starting a 3 month contract on Monday, but the agent needs to dot the i's with the client. Not too bothered if it falls through (it's quite a hike across west London and the rate is sub 200) but at least it shows there are some contracts out there. On reflection I'd sooner be working come the darker days, so fingers crosssed.

Agreed, we all know whats coming. Gold is up, house prices in freefall, job market slumping again already, public cuts on the way, VAT rise on the way,.......... I can't look

This is a good time to be stashing the cash. I'm up for a new gig from Monday as well, but it isn't in the smoke.

What the hell is going on in the UK?

OK, 2009 was a bad year in Holland, but even the most junior testers fresh out of college were on 35 euros per hour.

If Britain's really that bad, why are you all still there?

Some of us have left the sinking ship.

But I will come back 2012 maybe.

2008 was my bad year, and I actually rather like living in the UK
I'm sorry, but I'll make no apologies for this

Well yes, I'd rather like to live in the UK, somewhere like rural Warwickshire or Worcestershire, but if I can't earn a decent living there I'll stay here on the continent.

                Me too. It's awesome.

Life is short. One day, it's over.

You won't catch me working/living in some eastern European backwater.

Or Wales either for that matter.

I don't, but still have to wait another year to get the hell out. (all Mr N's fault)

Still gives me a year to check out properties in the Netherlands.
