    Tibco

    I keep seeing this word 'tibco' in gig ads, so I thought I’d try to find out what it is. I found this on www.tibco.com;

    TIBCO has a proven track record of delivering business value to its customers by helping them solve problems and execute on strategies in three key areas: service-oriented architecture (SOA), business process management (BPM) and business optimization (BO). With its comprehensive software offering, 20 years of experience and a proven methodology for architecting and deploying high-quality and high-performance solutions, TIBCO can help organizations address problems of all shapes and sizes.
    Organizations face an increasing volume, variety and velocity of information. TIBCO leverages high performance integration expertise to help organizations implement service-oriented architecture, business process management, and business optimization.

    Erm, is it me? Does this mean something to somebody? Or is this just complete ?

    Frack me - that is an echo from the past!

    You'll be seeing ads for people with Reuters Triach next.
    How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

          So why do I have to trawl through pages of management bumph on their website that tells me nothing at all, and then ask the congregation at CUK for an explanation?

              Maybe I is a bit simple, me, but I like to know wot someting is before I spend my dosh on it, innit.

              Maybe someone who is buying Tibco doesn't actually want to know what he is buying. I would like to speak to that person, and sell him a 'solution'. This solution will probably involve a villa on the Riviera and a yacht for me.

                Got it in 1.

                It costs an arm, a leg and one bollock as well - management need to be dazzled by bling in order to sign the cheque.

                  It's a bit of software that solves all your business problems. Oh, and costs a fortune in Consultancy charges to get it to work.

                  Don't you see??

                    I see. Mr Tibco, or whatever his name was, had a problem, which was 'I am unable to dream up or produce a useful software product that people will buy'. So he dreamt up a 'solution', which was 'I will use a business bulltulip generator to make a posh sounding text for my website promising solutions to all the problems of businesses, and then I will sell 'consultancy' for many many pounds per hour, and sell this 'solution' to ignorant people whose job is to spend somebody else's money'.

                    Genius.
