Why on earth would an agent need my date of birth ...

... when we haven't even discussed roles?

    Hi

Thank you for submitting your CV
Can you please advise your Date of Birth in order for us to register you on our

It is only a tulipy pariochial local agency, the type where you waste half a day going in to speak with someone then not hear from them again until their first gazette appears so I'll just not bother with them.

Blaming their database system for their ageism?

I've never been asked for my date of birth for years, since the senior recruiter at Hays asked me at an interview for a recruitment role how I'd feel working for someone younger (I was 30).

Tell them that you're a Timelord and that you perceive time in a non-linear fashion...

On second thoughts just give him a piece of paper with PTO on both sides. That should keep him busy.

Never bothered about who, what sex or what age somebody is.
