    Outlook recurring appointment reminder problem

Strange one which, on the off-chance, maybe someone on here can help resolve.

I am using Outlook 2007 on my PC and have setup an appointment on July 31 to recur annually with a reminder 3 weeks beforehand.

Next, I have synced Outlook 2007 on my PC with my Windows Mobile smartphone so that the appointment now shows on my smartphone.

    All well and good.

However, on my smartphone, when I view the appointment in July 2011 it does not have a "Reminder: 30240 minutes before" section.

But when I view the appointment in say July 2010, July 2012, July 2013 it does!

Hence, my concern, come next July, is I won't get a reminder for this appointment.

Deleting and re-creating the appointment, with relevant synch's in between, does not resolve.

Any other thoughts on how to solve?

Since it's a one-off problem, I'd just create a new one-off appointment 3 weeks before end of July 2011 called "Reminder: It's Nearly the End of July!".
The cowboy option is often the best.

      It's the Y2K+0xb bug.

The good news is that it only affects Microsoft technologies. The bad news is that you're using Microsoft technologies.

Then again, that's bad news even when there aren't any bugs.
