    What's the state pension nowadays?

Just wondering if I'm ever going to see it.
Worse for the womenfolk though - they've seen the age go from 60 to 66 in a few short years...
Of course those on regular well-paid contracts can afford to make provision. But what will happen to those over 60 who've worked all their lives in meagre-salary permie jobs? I can't see Pret-a-Manger suddenly changing their recruitment processes..

You're more likely see the reincarnation of Elvis.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

With the drop in child benefits, increases in university education, low interest rates, high inflation, increasing population, more immigration, people living longer, dwindling resources, feral youths there is only one way it can go.

But the argument for all those extra Bobs, Victors and Olgas was they were needed to pay for the pension bill?

It's going to become more and more like Escape From New York.

It will only be paid two years prior to death, backdated.
