    Anyone healthy?

Has anyone else never taken a day sick off school and not been in hospital since the day they were born, doesn't suffer from diseases, flu or get headaches, gastric problems and all those things that most people seem to get? Join the club. Even my brothers and sisters have had their medical problems and treatments, and they seem relatively healthy. Not in my untouched category though. Or is health just normal until you get older, at which point multiple organ failures set in?

Yep I'm healthy. Have spent 1.5 days in hospital due to a) needle in foot and b) high speed accident on a cross country course. Had a few days off school due to CBA

Good health is normal but there is a good deal of luck involved.

Am waiting for the liver to pack up.

I took a few days off when I broke my leg and needed it screwed back together with titanium. But that's not really a case of being sick. I don't think I've had any other sick days in the past 20ish years of work.

How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

I don't mean to sound smug HAB, just my experience.

Coming up to middle age, only about half a stone heavier than I was when I was 18. Quit smoking years ago (cigs and other stuff). Prob drink a bit too much but who doesn't.
Can still run steadily for an hour and do 30 push ups in not very long.
OK I guess. Could do better.
But have genes with longevity - grandparents died mostly of old age and accidents in their 90s.
And gramps was a heavy drinker. Fell off his bike when he was 92 and fractured his skull. Died of MRSA a week later.
              Hard Brexit now!

Not bad, we should breed. Is CBA getting your alphabet backwards?

CBA = Can't/Couldn't be Arsed. I used to think school was a waste of my valuable time.

I was just watching that programme on C5 "Life After Armageddon" tis all. Specifically the part when they said life expectancy would return to that of 200 years ago without medical treatment being available (mid 40s), and then a guy cut his hand that got infected. I was wondering how long most would survive in reality without modern medicine. Cuts infected, wtf. For sure diseases would wipe out people who don't need direct medical help in today's society, but I think a lot of people could have had a long life expectancy in those days, had they had a decent diet and not too taxing a life. 3 score and 10. Although I'm not sure, because both my brothers and sister have had things that might have prevented them from reaching the biblical figure.
