Looks like this free trade IT zone between India and EU will be last best chance for them...

The US is rejecting a growing number of Indian visa applications and interviews border on interrogations, Indian information technology firms say.

Nasscom, an umbrella organisation of IT firms, said it had written to the US ambassador to convey its concern.

India's government has also been informed, it said. There was no immediate response from the US embassy.

I do wonder what is different about the US situation to our own.

Their H1B visa scheme (similar to our Tier2 - ICT scheme) is now fee based, and they're generally using a harder line to protect US jobs, and will even look to increase their visa fees soon.

In the UK it is business that is lobbying for ICT exemption from the final immigration cap, and this has recently achieved success. Why isn't this working in the US, why are businesses not winning their case? Could this just be because the american public are speaking out far louder than us brits, or maybe the democrats are acting out on socialist interests?

                  H1B always had quotas.
