How many hours per week do you self train?

Got a mate who commutes daily and reads nothing but technical manuals. I will blitz self training manuals periodically but am pretty bad.

Work is generally rubbish for learning.
About eight to ten hours a week which I try to log in the IET professional development record.
A bit less self-training if I have any institution meetings on.

I'd rather go on training courses or evening classes, but I can't afford them just now.

I'm going through a data modelling phase at the moment.

I'm planning on tackling ITSM and it's relevance to cloud computing next.
