Nifty website - Plane and boat tracker

    http://www.aviaciondigitalglobal.com/trafico.asp

Is there an equivalent one for the UK? I'm tempted to get an air traffic control emulator, but suspect it'd eat too much time.
Speaking gibberish on internet talkboards since last Michaelmas. Plus here on Twitter

How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

Somebody showed me an app they had on the new iPhone.

Very clever. It used the camera. You pointed in a direction(ie up in sky or over some hills) and it superimposed all of the planes & destinations as graphics into the panning camera. So effectively you spot a number of plane circling above point the camera and lo and behold it turned into a live graphical overview on the phone. As you moved the angle of the phone it just reimaged!

You know what they say about assumptions!

Monday Links XX to the rescue: RadarVirtuel.

For a more sedate pace, ML XXXVI offers the same sort of thing with ships: Marine Traffic

              Under the "About" menu:
Our system is based on a network of contributers (private persons, companies) owning an ADS-B receiver and willing to share their data with us.
In exchange, we make their data available online to anyone, and we will develop advanced services for them to analyze aircraft traffic.

I don't think it's the same company, but it's the same setup and quite possibly the same data as used by the app MF mentioned above, Plane Finder AR. That app is from pinkfroot, who also have these plane and ship tracking web sites.
