Coldest I've experienced in the UK was -14°C in the 86/87 winter, near Farnham in Surrey.

A blistering -1°C currently in Switzerland.

Early this year it dropped to below -50 deg F for a month or two in Outer Mongolia

But a local weather station there, at Hatgal (http://weather.yahoo.com/mongolia/hovsgol/hatgal-2266658/), is reporting a toasty 6 deg F.

Coldest ever, -36C in Moscow.

Quite toasty here at the moment: 18C.

We have got the heating on though.

TimberWolf

8.2° C here, but the heating isn't on. Great news as it meant the sausages I had left over from earlier in the week and had forgotten about were rediscovered still in the oven and in prime condition and were redeployed as more pizza topping.

It's never as good when you have to explain. :ohwell

What does cold weather do to men? Then you said it was "dropping".

I of course may well re-read this in the morning and decide it was the Johnie Walker talking, and if so, sorry. :emb

Ah, ok. I get it now. In the house it's 22 so no probs there, not doing an al fresco at this time of year no matter what the temperature :tongue

Fan had seized up so took it out, dismantled, WD40'd, and put it back together again - we have heat :D

P.S. Thanks for the sympathy Zippy!
