I'm not sure how much confidence to place in the Telegraph's report, given that NASA's news conference tomorrow is about a paper being published in Science which is under embargo until 2pm EST.

Some have speculated that it may be something to do with Felisa Wolfe-Simon's research at Mono Lake (as she is one of the participants in tomorrows news conference), and it seems that the Telegraph has chosen to report that speculation as fact.

That CETI mob are wasting their time monitoring radio waves - If any aliens have ever visited the Solar System, they'll have left some neutrino generator parked at the centre of the Sun, sending highly directional beams to distant receivers.

As present technology can barely detect a single one of the torrent of natural neutrinos passing all round us and through us, we'd have no chance whatever (now and for the foreseeable future) of detecting an occasional artificial blip.
