US treasury can't print money fast enough

    Not without making mistakes anyway:

BBC News - US treasury stockpiles billions in flawed $100 bills

Officials are working to devise a mechanical process to sort the flawed bills. Doing so by hand would take up to 30 years, officials said.

    Print $100,000,000 bills next time.

    Simples.

I have actually been to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. It's pretty impressive. But having a look round it's pretty obvious that the conspiracy theories that the printing presses are running on overdrive to inflate the currency are far fetched to say the least. They only have a limited number of printing machines, most of which are at least a few years old, and they are running at maximum speed most of the time anyway. There's no evidence they have increased their production capacity recently.

Reading the link it seems that it's a new note version; none of which are currently in circulation; which has a defect. This doesn't appear to be a money supply issue, but a printing and quality control cockup that could cause a timeline knock on effect.

No biggie, they can delay the note release.

when you go to the bank and ask for a loan do you have to wait while they send a courier to the local mint to collect your cash?

Nope. If you are suggesting they have other ways of inflating the currency then I can happily agree.
