Well thats a bit strange because back in April 2005 Mr Blair attended the coppers funeral (with Cherie, naturally) and was according to the Mail going to "throw his weight behind the call."

And even stranger back in 1999 the "World Socialist Web Site proudly told us that "The award to the RUC was presented by the Queen on the recommendation of Prime Minister Tony Blair and Northern Ireland Secretary Mandelson"
