    Calls to prayer...

a very evocative sound, I'm staying right next to a large mosque.

    Very 'different'.

Why the heck would you spend Christmas in Birmingham?

Not so bad in the winter but in the summer they start at about 5am! I stayed in Taksim Square near the ‘road of a thousand kebab take-aways’

Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

We went to Taksim Square last night - not much there a few bars and loads of kebab shops.

Had a good day yesterday apart from the rain - it was warm which was refreshing and made a change from recent show.

Grand Bazaar - it seems like there are 100 lines of merchandise - and every shop is exactly the same.

Rugs, lights, hubble bubble pipes, rip off t-shirts, leather, clothes, ceramics, chess sets, gold, silver...

We didnt get hassled too much.
