    Distant friend number one, 65yo, obese, eats and drinks a lot, diabetic, no exercise had a stroke five years ago under medication and registered disabled.

    Distant friend number two, 58yo normal weight, athletic, drinks in moderation dies of heart attack.

    Old fatso still going

    Moral, if you’r over 50 get regular check-ups

    I'm not convinced athletic is a great deal more healthy than unfit. Average in all things is probably best. Not too tall or too short or fat or thin or overdo anythin (rhymes). I expect this would be embodied in life insurance actuary tables.

      The good news is that your life expectancy increases as you get older. Not many 90 year old's will die at 80 for instance.
