Don't you hate SUVs in town?

One of my pet hates is people who drive SUVs in town and never use them in the country. They probably think it gives them status, but it really shows you know nothing about cars and are a bit of a plank. Most urban centres especially London, are really not designed for them.

This rant is prompted by a Porsche Cayenne (ugly beast!) which blocked my (narrow) street this morning. The guy half parked on the pavement but half blocked the road as well. If its still there when I get home, I'm going to let the tyres down.
    Hard Brexit now!

I live in the deepest, darkest bit of the Welsh borders and I don't need an SUV. If I did, I'd get a bog standard, green-tin-shack-on-wheels Landrover, but don't even need that. We have hills, mud, ice, the lot here - but don't actually need 4x4s unless you're hauling a trailer or horsebox or something.

You've come right out the other side of the forest of irony and ended up in the desert of wrong.

      I've got 2.

It makes life easier whilst dropping the sprogs off at school (half a mile away)

The advantage is that you are allowed to park in the middle of the road blocking traffic in both directions whilst talking with other parents.
Your parents ruin the first half of your life and your kids ruin the second half
