Make one with screens on both sides - one colour for indoors and the other for BW for ourdoors, I'll go submit a patent application now... -
Oh dear, Mr Z will be upset. He bought an ordinary, boring B&W one about three months ago.+50 Xeno Geek Points

Seriously, what does a kindle or reader give you that a notebook doesn't, except maybe it's marginally cheaper?
I mean it's not even as if you can use them in the bath (which admittedly would be a big plus).
And you can't fold the things up and slip them in your pocket - They're just as bulky and almost as heavy as notebooks, if not more so. Waste of time IMHO.Work in the public sector? Read the IR35 FAQ hereComment

Much longer battery.
"ink" screens more readable in bright conditions (outside).
Amazon sells cheap digital books for those devices.
They are also cheap devices.Comment

You can take a Kindle on holiday and won't need to recharge it, can read it outside in the sun, etc. The screen is very different to a laptop.
My Kindle is smaller and lighter than a paperback. And I read it in the bath (via a very low-tech method which appears quite satisfactory).
I'm not too convinced about colour e-readers. I mean we've been able to print in coloured ink quite some time but I can't remember a single novel that isn't black & white, since I stopped reading books with pictures.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

I'd still prefer a paper back book when is comes to reading a good novel."Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience". Mark TwainComment

They want colour versions for webpages - newspaper content.
Publishers might get totally stuffed by the end of this decade with Amazon becoming super publisher.Comment

As for newspapers... aren't they going to to be pushed out by just going on the web anyway? You can get e-book versions already but TBH a B&W paper is just fine in my view.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

It wasn't long ago that newspapers were black and white, apart from the odd page. The change to colour started in the mid 1980s in the UK according to the Wiki, with the majority of newspapers still mostly black and white today.Comment
