    I hit a dog tonight

Needing a beer, quite an emotional evening!

Driving back from the gym, along a side road with houses.

First I saw what looks like a cat on the road, when I smalled the anchors on.

It was a small dog, just disappeared under the car as I was still trying to stop.

Heard a yelp, dog disappears up another side road, with a teenage girl distraught sceaming away.

I stop the car and calm her down, her mum is legging it after the dog. Meanwhile I call my vet to warn then that I may be along with a patient shortly, who gets the vet on standby.

The mother gets the dog, has just a cut on his hind leg, shaking away in shock, but seemingly okay. I offered to take them to the vets to be safe, but mum was sure about just taking the dog inside, giving it some sweet tea, and calling her vet later if needed. A nice grounded person.

All okay in the end, but it is a really horrible feeling thinking you may have killed a distraught girls pet dog for a few moments!

Apparantly so. Think the teenager was needing something a fair bit stonger - from the way she was shrieking I was expecting blood and guts everywhere when I was getting out of the car!!

                  Churchill 2?

The dog in question was a Jack Russell. I once saw a Jack Russell kill a cat. Must be some sort of Karma.

Glad the little fella is alive if not rather shaken, like his owner!
