The joys of commuting by air

Currently sat on the Tarmac in Hanover after two aborted landings at my original dest. Waiting to refuel before having another go. So far at least 30 passengers are refusing to fly and have insisted on disembarking.

    Happy days.

you know that means that everyone + luggage has to get off, plane has to be security checked and then you can go back on board after going through security.... again

So the plane actually tried to take off and couldn't, twice? I'd be nervous too!

That wouldn't be an aborted landing, it would be very serious and new underpants all round. Twice.

Just seen an "interesting" landing at Leeds on the local news, pilot side slipping like mad, but he got it down. Apparently quite a few got diverted.

Oddly enough on the day of the big winds, few days ago whenever it was I was driving up Leeds and Bradford Road, after Kirkstall Bridge ,kind of watching this plane descending over Horsforth into LBA, and it went very wonky in flight, sort of at 45% and drifting northwards. Lost sight of it near the Acorn Pub.

Of course, maybe I should concentrate more on driving - combining that with planespotting isn't great...

The pilot was probably you thinking "I'm sure that car is about to drift into oncoming traffic..."
