    State of the nation

    From the Beeb:

Cable & Wireless to shed 3000 uk jobs
    MFI to shed 1500 jobs
    Energy prices up around 25%
    Nationwide sees house price dip
Poor retails sales mean job cuts "The business group's survey blamed a "poor retail climate" for 37% of firms reporting a fall in employment. "

    And that's just today.

All is well in Fat Boy Gordons world. Steady hand and all that. Move along. Nothing to see here.

No doubt the banks are making a killing, but that won't stop them cutting jobs, shifting everything offshore, giving poor service and dodging tax in the UK.

Not sure that's a positive thing unless you are a big shareholder?

Can we please avoid discussions which may lead one to entertain thoughts which are nondoubleplusgood regarding our Great Leaders.
If you have done no wrong then you have nothing to fear ...perhaps.

Hmmm and today's HO announcement of 345,000 Eastern Europeans landed here since EU enlargement = a double whammy... less jobs & an expanded workforce!

You need to look where those killings are being made though.

Its fine to say "the banks are making a killing" but when you look closer most of their profit comes from offshore investments and the commercial sector.

Still...that wont stop mindless twats from harping on about a windfall tax! Yes...lets tax business because they are "too" successful!

I predict a crash. After all most people from here have been forecasting it for years.

The problem is, benn0, that the longer it is put off, the bigger it will be.

Did you know that a crash is being put off by spiralling debt, both national and personal debt? That is the secret of our "stable" economy.
