I don't even bother watching such turgid shite. A showcase for the ephemeral Simon Cowell endorsed, pop pap that is churned out nowadays.

And that is the view of a 33 year old, and I'm hardly an old man.

I don't even bother watching such turgid tulipe. A showcase for the ephemeral Simon Cowell endorsed, pop pap that is churned out nowadays.I don't think we've had much of that. Performances from a rapper, a guitar band and a folk band...

Cheryl just said she fancied Rhianna :tongue

on the wireless is it on?

Well Mumford get Album of the year with their folk-inspired work, not a big surprise. And now a fat black rapper most famous for a song that can't be played on the radio is performing. What a load of samey old rubbish :eyes

Yup yup, don't you fancy Rihanna though? She's grown on me, but Katy is still probs my No 1 GC.

Yup yup, don't you fancy Rihanna though? She's grown on me, but Katy is still probs my No 1 GC.There was a lot of talk about R's hot performance, but I honestly thought she didn't look great. Stupid red hair, weird flesh-coloured cop and legs that looked a bit chunky and like they were on a shop mannequin. Not unattractive but hardly an amazing stunner, her dancers were hotter than she was. KP wins for me.

I've not bought any Adele yet, but every time I happen to catch her on the telly or radio (including the Brits last night, the only bit I watched) I have to admit that she makes a big impression. I think the standout thing about her is that she doesn't insist on embellishing everything she sings with a load of warbling surplus notes, which is the popular style of the last few years and drives me nuts. She just sings it straight, and very powerfully. Still can't decide whether to actually buy any of her stuff though.

The new (ish) album - 21 - is good. Rolling in the Deep is a powerful song - really good! The rest of the album is good but a bit angst-y (sp??)

The older album - 19 is pretty good too.

I also got the Imelda May album the other week, that's good too - kinda 50's-ish rock. Deffo feel good music.

Apologies if the following has already been drawn to the attention of male readers in the thread:

Gorgeous Promsie This star Cheryl Cole made every red blooded male and female's fantasy come true last night when she introduced Rihanna as her 'girl crush'.The singer presented RiRi with the Best International Female Solo Artist award at last night's Brit Awards, saying: "And the winner of the Best International Female solo artist is, my girl crush, what's her name? Rihanna."
