    Downshifting; bloody knackering

Well now, I'm doing a bit of temporary 'downshifting' due to working a 3 day week at clientco for the next few months. I'd just got used to having a couple of extra days off each week, but then decided I'd take the opportunity to smarten things up at Tester Manor. We have workmen in the garden for the next week or so, sorting that out, and I'm busy painting the living room. Sunday; rugby match. Monday; trudged around DIY shop buying paint and all the kit, then cleared out the living room; what a lot of crap can be collected in 10 years. Monday evening; covered all walls in plastic ready for painting ceiling, then cleaned entire ceiling with detergent. Tuesday; work, then Tuesday evening, covered the floor with some special paintproof paper and removed all plinths. Now I'm at clientco and absolutely buggered. I think I'm pretty fit, but this physical labour lark isn't for me. This evening; paint the ceiling. Tomorrow, work, then paint the walls. Then Friday, clear up and visit art dealer for suitable paintings.

Bloody hell, I am knackered already and I haven´t even opened the cans of paint. I will be glad when I can get back to contracting for 40 hours per week.

Why? Do you have the decorators in?

You seem to post about a new gig or create a BOOMED thread every few weeks unless my mind is exaggerating things...

It's every few days doogie. Mich has more jobs in a week than Meneleus.

Oh well I guess we'd better close General, now he's spoken this ruling.

                    We could just rename it.

I suggest 'Marillionfans playground' or how about 'Mich's musings'
