    Carbon taxes

    Fairs fair.

How about this. Linking all the carbon taxes we pay (that includes fuel duty before it is burned, you greedy cants!) to the global temperature.

If the world average gets hotter, we pay more, the faster it goes up, the more we pay.

If the global temperature falls, the taxes fall.

How is this different to the current system (apart from the ridiculous notion that taxes can fall)?

The taxes only go up, as they are based on the amount of Carbon. Measure the effect, so we want to stop the world melting, link the amount to the temperature of the world.

Better still tax people based on how much breeding they do.

The government sponsored scientists (on a commission basis) can present the "science".

It's a good idea, you could vary it by country to make it interesting, like Holland could be based on sea level, Australia could be based on droughts. Mind you, the aussies would each be in for a twenty five billion dollar rebate each
France could pay carbon tax based on the frog population

They'll probably put the official world temperature thermometer right next to to the computer that counts the taxes thus creating a positive feedback loop.

                    Politicians made some rules.

Business exploits the rules to the maximum.

When do the politicians reclassify themselves to enemies of reason.
