    Fighting fit

Its been a strange old autumn and winter. A few injuries, dodgy knee, bad back, stress from project work, etc
Poor weather hasnt helped, nor has the missus being overloaded with work.

But now its the payoff, we have the dosh squirelled away, we have the new car, new tent, new cooking gear,we have the fitness back, we have the kids sorted and happy, and we are spoiling for it.

not a fight, but we want to get out there adventuring again, camping, holidaying, foreign parts.
I can feel myself getting restless, strong and bursting for it

    here comes the sun

I'm 34 on Tuesday and just got out of my chair to get another beer. I was bent over double with what I can only describe as a locked up back.

I wish I had your energy old timer
Knock first as I might be balancing my chakras.

If any of that is true (I'm only 34, bending to pick up beer etc.), then you really need to do some strengthening exercises. Now I know I bang on about this, and I'm sorry to be boring but consider something like horse riding. It all comes from the back so it gets to be strong and flexible. Never had a bad back in my life (broken nose, cracked shoulder, busted toe, concussion - twice - but it's a small price to pay).

Putting up tents is pretty good exercise too.

Big tents? My tent takes only takes about 5 minutes to put up.

Ah, foreign and hot. And presumably some place where you won't get squished by an elephant or attacked by a grizzly while inside a tent. Birmingham?
