    Carbon

****, I've just spilt the contents of a laser printer toner cartridge over the nice light coloured carpet.

What's the best carbon capture method in these circumstances?

    TIA

    A giant rubber ?

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

roll the carpet up and chuck it in the north sea - you may want to weigh it down
        then buy a new carpet

You need some kind of electrostatic effect.
Get a balloon, rub it on your hair (you may have to find someone with hair) and apply to the carpet.
