        Ahh, morning Scots

hope everything is fine up in Scotland

very cold this morning in Bratwurst Land, 10 cm's of snow
yesterday in the city and -3 this morning, the roads are like
ice rinks, still winter tyres and the skoda's 4x4 system and a
diesel engine to assist with braking makes light work of it all

        Milan.

everything is well thanks, although the north has been snowbound for over a week now. the usual, trains stuck in the middle of nowhere, cars stuck for days in drifts... but here near sunny glasgow by the sea spring is underway. off climbing tomorrow though, a return to the icy heights and winter.

            a
diesel engine to assist with braking? How does it do that? I't have thought the extra weight would assist in retaining the original velocity in spite of attempts to alter it.

              Morning (yawns!)

Got some paperwork to do. Actually, it should be called bit-work now, shouldn't it?

              Anyone else watching the cricket?

                ahh expat, you petrol heads

a diesel engine has a much higher compression ration than
a petrol, and when driving a diesel, if you take your foot
of the accelorator, the engine's compression will have a greater
more useable effect of slowing the car than a petrol and also
reduces the need to use the breaks so heavily in certain circumstances

i could go on, but that's enough info

anyway I thought you had an old Pajero, I guess it's a petrol

                Milan.

Working weekend? No such thing as a permie. I am also trying to make thursday and friday not working days too.

There is only one life, Milan, enjoy it.
I've seen much of the rest of the world. It is brutal and cruel and dark, Rome is the light.
