No translation needed - short summary: it's like Benny Hill in hospital episode, very local NHS needs to hit patient target so they have to be creative :smokin

Not much Ukrainian language there...

If you like Soviet stuff, as I do, try the 'Shurik' series of films. You don't need to understand Russian..

That one is much older and longer, requires knowledge of language and prevailing conditions at the time...

And for music, Delfin (Dolphin), supposed to be Russian Hip-Hop but did this great retro tune with a great video from 1980 Moscow Olympics, with Salyut Kosmonauts (Kosmonafty') live on the big screen, only crap countries there, Mishka the Bear (Mishka Medved') and the tear made by turning over a card on the seat, aww. Great guitar riff there too, let's here it, there, yes, wow, do you hear that, wow...

Seriously, if you like Sov/Ru stuff, you have to watch 'Pokrovoskiy Gate' - it's the Russian 'The Great Escape' not because it's about war and escaping, it's just the one movie they show at Christmas and it's expected...

The movie isn't that good, but you can see how it has that 'feel good factor' - perhaps more like 'Its a Wonderful Life' without the etheral bits.

Try too the 'Brother' movies, Brat Odin and Brat Dva (Brother One and Brother Two) - they are good movies.

Of course too, if you are a bit arty, the original Solaris (Solyaris), actually the second movie 1972, by Tarkovskiy is really watchable even without subbies.

Ask me another!
