Wires not covered by Car Warranty VW

Took car in for repair today at VW because Air bag light came on.

They called me up and said the wire is broken and because it's not a component it is not covered by the warranty.....

So what exactly is that piece of sh1te warranty for then?

Double peed off now after PCG pissed me off as well....

Is it worth picking a fight with them? Can I win?

Ask PCG if your PCG Plus membership will cover your legal costs.

That just sounds like a feeble excuse, if the car went wrong they should fix it. You could argue that the wire is part of the component.
      I'm alright Jack

        Read the warranty booklet, says:

Wiring and connnections (including HT leads and aerial coaxial cables)

        are excluded from warranty.

        Do I have a case?

Could I argue that the cable is causing the component to fail and therefore should be fixed?

oh dear, if that's the case then it looks like you're sunk I'm afraid.

It is pretty clear isn't it.

Car warranties are generally useless unless there is a major fault or there is a recall.
