    Doomed

Alcoholic Liver Disease - NHS Choices

Apparently I am a heavy drinker and I have a fatty liver.

I am currently without beer for 3 1/2 days. Can I make it to the end of the month? Am I going to die anyway?
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

    No.

    Yes.
Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.

      Don't worry about death dude!
      It's totally natural.

Go on, have another drink. You deserve it

I seem to remember you've asked this before, and you're still alive. Or are you?

          I am.

I don't think it's irreversible as my liver function tests apparently came back normal, but I do need to have a couple of weeks off the booze to give the poor bugger a chance to recuperate, and tone down the massive benders going forwards.

Looks like I am going to need a new hobby.

It doesn't really bother me unless used to excess.
