I think it should be done by Pixar Animations, just to be topical.

Perhaps Mr Rushdie has beaten you to it.

In the Satanic Verses there was a sub plot to create a movie about the life of Mohamed, as the Prophet could not be represented by another person the Director decided to have a Camel instead of a person and the Camel would be shown mouthing the lines of the Koran ...

...has anybody else read the Satanic Verses

A remake of the Life of Brian perhaps?

            He's not a prophet, he's a very naughty boy!

Yes i read it years back when I used to commute on the tube - I suspect that this may no longer be allowed. I enjoyed it. Rushdie is a great story teller.

Nonsense. Commuting on the tube may be more expensive, but I'm sure it's still allowed.

I still don't enjoy it though.

The Satanic Verses is a wonderful book at every level, I was reluctant to read it at first as I thought it was purely Theological, which it certainly is not.

                    And Yes,you can read it.

                    Providing nobody is looking.

                    Including yourself.
