    Butanol Fuel

    Butanol fuel - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
    Algae fuel - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    This is the future.

    Sunlight -> Algae -> Fuel

    What's the betting the UK isn't involved in this and isn't a world leader in this technology?

    Butanol can be used in petrol engines without modification.

    Arab countries can then go fork themselves.

    They're the ones with loads of empty desert and sunlight.

    All it takes is a network of fresh water pipes heading inland from desalination plants by the sea, and they'll be the countries exporting all the fuel! Again!

      It will probably end up killing the fish, assuming they don't feast on the algae.

        I think the idea is you take seawater inland and fence it off from the oceans.

          That is something like the plot of Solent Green.
          Glow algae for food (Solent Green) to feed people, as current crops could not survive due to global warming.

          But the seas were too polluted to grow enough algae, make Solent Green from other material
          Fiscal nomad it's legal.
