FPGAs have a lot to answer for. That's bloody cheap, less than I paid for my old dual channel analogue scope on ebay a few years back.

Viewdata was going to revolutionize getting information into every home...

Eventually failed for various reasons, not least because Viewdata/Teletext was crap at displaying porn.
