Is money in the Allied Irish Bank, Isle of Man, safe?? (Irish banks need state money)

the news tonight is that the Irish banks need another huge amount of state money to bail them out just so they can keep going - and there are worries that the Irish won't get it from the EU etc..
So will money in the AIB be safe?

    Yeah no worries.

If the Irish/EU don't have the money, the BoE will just print some pounds for you.

Wouldn't it be better to cut out the middle man and have the BoE print Euros instead?
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

You'd have to invade Continential Europe for that first...

          Why print for them.
          They are not that lazy.

Who needs the ECB or BoE?

          They do it themselves.

When I ask, when is the bottom going to fall from under our feet?

The only reason the UK is not following Ireland is because we never choose to join the euro. How wonderful. So I can relax and put my feet up and not worry. We can print whenever we want and we'll just not have any problems. It's good to know it's all under control.

As long as you don't own sterling or get paid in it, yes, it's sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet.

I need a holiday. Austria 1 hour away, France 3, Switzerland 2, weekend 23 degrees, which would you choose?
