    Government ICT Strategy

HMG has just published it's latest ICT Stragey Paper for those how might be interested.

Government ICT Strategy | Cabinet Office

In related news, this came out last Friday.

NHS to be switched to Open Source

The sad thing is, it's hard to tell which is the April Fools.

Yep, this is all true, all of it.

1st of April it came into effect, so must be true.

The Cabinet office one is genuine, depite the opening line

Government information and communications technology (ICT) has a really bad name. Much of this is unjustified.

EHI understands that a mega-billion Mastadon contract has already been awarded to Leviathan Corporation following a pretty nifty powerpoint presentation to ministers.

One insider present at the key meeting said “It was a great presentation, it had a video clip, a picture of some paper patient records that had fallen off a shelf and a Dilbert cartoon,” the minister was really impressed.
I reckon that's the real one....
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Ian Watmore was waffling on about how open source was 'hackable'

I'm always cleaning out spyware from my Linux servers.

My XP & Vista desktops are impregnable to that kind of attack.

Honestly where do they find these people and how do they get to that level of influence?
