Wasn't there a law passed a few years ago that made it illegal for UK born fundamentalist nutters to take up arms/wage war in a foreign land?

Or was it only if they took up arms against UK forces?

Reason for asking is this BBC video of a UK student who has gone to Libya to help with the uprising.

However, the ones that were, IIRC, effected a change in the law.

Wondered if that law should also apply to this fella.
