Is this a load of middle class toss?

Daughter is 5 next month. The wife(who doesn't work but think's that money is something that the cash point fairy just conjours up) has booked the local church hall.

4 hours at £15 per hour. OK. Sorted with that.

And hired a bouncy castle. £60. Fine with that

And booked a children entertainer and magician. £200 for two hours. WTF! £100 PER HOUR!!

And paid caterers to do the food £120!!!! WTF £120 for the a childrens ******* party!

£440 for a four hour childrens party!!! WTF!!!!

Is this excessive? She thinks that's what it should cost!

Bollocks. It is too expensive. (IMHO)

Can't your wife just make some food. Kids won't eat much, will they? A few rice krispie cakes and some jelly tots, crisps and sausages on sticks.

Kids aren't exactly discerning when it comes to party food.

I think it's be Bouncy Castle or Entertainer/Magician. Not both.

But then I've no kids, so no idea really.

Sounds a bit more like it. Smart price crisps, squash, frozen pizzas, bob the builder cake. Job done.

                It's cheaper than divorce.

Assuming you have more than £880 left.

                  Only adults should get both.

Duh. Exactly. It doesn't take a genius to see that does it. I mean you've spotted it correctly.

Jeez. It was only a few years ago that a freaking cardboard box would keep a child amused. For Suity's kids. I think it probably still does.
