Rail union rejects "piss poor 5.5% pay deal"

Tube unions to reject 'disappointing' 5.5% pay deal | Metro.co.uk

However, the deal looks likely to be turned down by transport unions even though many in the private and public sector are experiencing pay freezes.

The deal would equate to inflation plus 0.25 per cent for each of the four years until 2016. Current RPI inflation stands at 5.3 per cent so the offer would be worth 5.55 per cent if the rate stayed the same.

    Meanwhile BoE has a big

Seriously, someone needs to sort out what's going to happen over the Olympics. It doesn't matter what is offered and accepted, I predict the tube workers WILL go on strike.

    Embarrassing times ahead......

Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

Because monopolies are generally illegal and have price controls when they are allowed to continue.

When Tube drivers get paid in excess of £40k a year for a 35 hour week not including overtime I find this quite offensive. I wouldn't mind but to guess this we have had to endure years of strikes and expect more to come.
