    Osama was unarmed

Shooting an unarmed man, not sure that is legal.

BBC News - Bin Laden: Al-Qaeda leader was unarmed when shot - US

    Nope probably not.

    But it was effective.

Lots of contradictory information too... First he's using his wife as a human shield and she died, then she "rushed" US soldiers and got shot in the leg and survived... Also that he died in a "firefight" after refusing to surrender etc...

They (the US) need to provide solid evidence or there will be no end of conspiracy theories.

Shall we cut the leftie crap and stop pretending we're not satisfied (if not pleased) with this outcome?

Maybe the police should just shoot suspected murders etc on sight, saves all that going to trial palava.

I'm sure they have plenty more evidence of Bin Laden's guilt/involvement than the police would have coming across a "suspected" murderer.

To be honest, I don't really care if he was armed or not, or if he's dead or alive.... It was nice to finally see something on the news that wasn't about a poxy wedding.

              WHS (pleased)

Anyway, in the heat of the moment, how did they know he was unarmed and not about to reach for a trigger to blow the whole compound sky high?

              Flipping armchair liberals!

Maybe it was a rescue operation?

                    (a) Bin Laden wasn't a "suspected" murderer a self-confessed mass murderer

                    (b) The police _do_ shoot to kill when they believe a suspect resisting arrest may be armed
