The banks provide numbers you can use for development/first tests, then use the company credit cards for the 'real' tests.

They have test numbers for their staging systems, but not once you're live. It took me two months of persuasion (and a CR!) to get 41111111111111 coded to bypass auth to enable test orders to be placed. But to test auth itself, you have no option but to use a real card.
