SC clearance question about transferring

Hey,
Newbie to these forums & contracting... well ive done some umbrella contracting in the past.

but have a question which is a little unclear.

Who holds my SC Clearance? I left my last employer last June & am aware its becomes invalid if not used for 12months.

Would my old company retain it? or would it be retained by the sponsor? My sponsor outsourced a lot of work to my old employer (not a list x company).
My ID Badge (MoD) that was issued after my SC Clearance has the sponsor company name & not my old employer name.

I have an interview next week with a start date the following week, so this is something I need to jump on to see about getting my
Security transferred. Dont want to end up chasing blind leads & being passed from company to company to find out who has it!
Also, is there a quick way I can find out if my SC is still active?

Call the DVA help desk and ask them. Or have a read of the website, most questions are answered on there already - www.dva.org.uk.

Thanks, the DVA told me it is the listx company that would have it.

I have tried contacting the company, but I am getting no joy at all in finding who
I need to speak to. Anyone know a contact department for HP? I keep getting put
through to HR - which is a multiple choice recorded message & answering machine.
