Menial tasks that you actually enjoy doing

Do you have to do something now and then, that most people would say 'oh no not again'

but that you really enjoy doing ?

I spent two hours today, emptying out the penny cider bottle on the living room floor, then sorting out the pennies, twos, fives , twentys, fiftys and pounds.

It's funny, but I sarted looking at how same coin seemed to be forms clumps, and sometimes ordered in the same plane and direction. Pure chance maybe, but its nice to have something out of the ordinary to think about now and then. Plus I had an episode of 'game of thrones' on.
I can remember every line of the dialogue and storyline, almost as if my senses were heightened, even though I was engaged in this other task.

I've noticed that with washing when doing a large load of "smalls"
Socks, boxers and wifes knickers seem clump and stratify into layers in the machine.

Burying the landladys cat was quite satisfying, I'm not sure if that counts though

Repotting all my hanging baskets and planters every spring. Smashing sense of satisfaction and, if the weather is up to it, following it all with a few beers and firing up the Bar-B-Q for the first time each season.
