Uk full steam ahead for Nuclear power

New nuclear plants on track - UK Politics, UK - The Independent

The Germans are going to look very stupid indeed in 10 years time, when everone around them is thumping out cut price "leccy" and they' re shivering round their candles waiting for the wind to blow.

Anyway the Spanish have the right idea:

Alternatively the Germans might just import cheap nuclear from next door whilst selling back their expensive wind power at times of peak demand.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Why is the wind going to suddenly stop in 10 years time?

I could be wrong, but if memory serves the wind in the title is the blast from a large nuclear explosion.

It was a bit random. Excellent book though.

No.1 lesson learnt from Yukafukup: Situate the site where the wind will blow fallout offshore. They still have huge problems in Japan, but they were lucky with the wind direction. So for us that would be the East Coast I expect.

                  North of Scotland, I expect.

If it's safe, why not put it in Oxfordshire?

Even if it were totally safe, the nimbys wouldn't allow it.
